About Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching your teeth to make them whiter. The best way to keep your smile healthy and bright is to look after your teeth and gums, but it’s not unusual to need a little help.
You might consider teeth whitening for different reasons. Your teeth can lose their whiteness with age but can also become stained by smoking or drinking lots of tea, coffee or red wine.
Fortunately, our professional whitening treatments quickly and safely remove stains, without damaging your teeth. We’ve seen thousands of patients grow in confidence thanks to a brighter, whiter smile.
Teeth Whitening Options
Teeth whitening at the practice
This option could make your teeth up to six shades whiter in just an hour.
our dentist will apply the gel and use a special blue light to amplify the whitening process, giving quick results.
Teeth whitening at home
You will receive a kit that includes whitening trays and gel to take home from your dentist. The tray should be worn according to your dentist’s instructions, and the majority of people wear them overnight. It might take a few weeks before you get the white you want.
After whitening at the practice, home whitening is also offered as a follow-up.
What is internal teeth whitening?
Your dentist may recommend internal teeth whitening if a tooth has become darker following root canal treatment.
This entails re-opening the hole that was made in your tooth, applying the whitening gel to it, and then applying a temporary filling to close the hole.
It may be necessary to repeat this two or three times, spaced about a week apart. A tooth-colored filling will be used by your dentist to permanently close the hole once it is done.
After that, the results of your teeth whitening are checked, confirmed, and recorded. Professional advice on aftercare and upkeep is provided to ensure that results last as long as possible. Teeth whitening can have a significant impact on your quality of life.
You can feel more self-assured, have a higher self-esteem, and be more willing to participate in social situations if you smile brightly and white.
More than just improving your smile, teeth whitening can also improve your self-image, mannerisms, and how you appear to others.
After that, our custom-made whitening agent, which can be based on hydrogen peroxide or not, is applied to the teeth. A Blue Spectrum LED light with high energy is evenly distributed over the teeth after the special mouth guard has been applied.
It has been demonstrated that this wavelength is the most effective one for initiating molecules in the whitening agent without overheating or causing any damage to the teeth. This procedure is typically finished in two to three cycles of 20 to 30 minutes. Within 60 minutes, the entire teeth whitening procedure is finished, and you can enjoy the amazing and immediate results.
